Knock output to the Aem Serial Gauge
I've neglected to set this up, and am going to take care of this now I'm on e85 all the time.
I've got the telemetry set to output to the gauge from the AEM v2, and I am curious what I need to do get it to read on my guage.
The software for that is atrocious.
It's always a year in between since I've worked with it, and I forget the slight nuances it has, lol.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't recall what I enabled on the AEM. I don't want to assume but I'll check, but for the sake of this post, I'm interesting in the knock voltage, but I'll admit, what is the difference between knock 1, knock 1 raw, and knock 1 volts?
I'm guessing setting it up 0-5v output would be the easiest to do, so if I see perhaps 1-2 volts, I'm not sweating it to bad, but it jumps to the 3-5 range, I've got a problem.
yes/no?

Which exact channel are you trying to monitor?
Knock 1
Knock 1 Raw
Knock 1 Volts
Knock 1 Fuel
Knock 1 Retard ?

For setting up your gauge in the software:
Go to that channel and press Auto-Fill button
Cell 0 : 0
Cell 255 : 5.0
Hit "Fill Table" button. Color as needed where you think knock voltages are dangerous. Keep in mind this will vary greatly depending on engine conditions.

Agreed, that's what I remember doing for setting something else up.
Thanks for the reminder!!
I may be wrong, but does the knock read 0volts ever, when the car is running? or does it read a low amount of voltage like .5 or so, and at a max of only like 4.6 or so? All the 0-5 volt sensors ive set up to read on the serial gauge never started at 0 volts (a "zero" reading was like .3 volts, and max reading was like 4.7 volts)
Question something that's always confused me.
On the AEM telemtry output, it has 1-19 channels labeled.
1 - Engline Speed
2 - Engine Load
3 - Throttle
4 - etc
etc.
On the Serial gauge software, it is labeled similar.
Do you set the ouput on the channel from the AEM, and have it match on the Serial guage?
Example:
At some point, I changed Channel 4 to IAT, I can't remember if that was a default setting or not, but let's say know I want it to show knock volts for example.
So I change channel 4 on my AEM EMS to knock volts raw.
I then save/upload/etc and go to me serial Gauge.
Open config, and then see channel 4, add it to the in-use listing, and then change the voltage to match up with what it needs to for example.
That is all I need to do?
