OT, but out of curiosity, what direction are you taking now?

how often u drive u car??
how many mile per month?
i will really like to know how long it last ur bone stock motor with mase's high boost kit.
plz let me know..
thx
Im confused.
LOL. nobody is touting anything, i simply said i like the KW kit best. to me sot is garbage. and the vortech and comptech are very similar to KW at similar boost levels. (as proven by this threads dyno sheets)
And to set the record straight against these recent retarded comments.
Jacks kit was a BOLT ON kit. This kid could mirror it exactly. you guys are confusing the DBW kits with the youtune kit.
Any kw kit with header/catless exh/TB and youtune can make that 395 whp.
let me say it again
THE 395 WHP WAS MADE BEFORE THE HEAD WAS INSTALLED.
so it wasnt "highly modified".
theres no need to start another thread. I was using it as an example of what a well matched kit install and simple bolt ons can do with a good tune.
his original question seems to be in the hunt for response and driveability.
Thats why i replied.

#1 dislike the setup entirely. Remember i live in vegas, and even if i didnt, i dont want my blower 3 inches from my header. I do a ton of top speed runs, and even with heatshield i feel the life of that supercharger will be dramatically decreased by its location.
#2 water to air coolers blow, proven time and again, and i just cant see the design of the one that comes with the kit, doing a very good job at keeping IAT at bay. It not only is of poor design, but it also has to deal with a roots which makes heat anyways, AND that roots is hot to start being right over the header.
#3 roots have been proven to be very good and provide long life on low rpm and short burst engines.
I dont think this blower is going to last long being spun to the moon constantly, and i dont think it would fair well driven on hard track days in vegas heat.
Now experience may make me eat my words over the next few years, and thatd be fine with me. But i have a hunch as of now, with what lies ahead.
Ideally id like to see the blower and intake mani incorporated and the car run on alcohol, say e85 or e98. But i know the space constraints. so,, this is what we have now. Cool option, i just wouldnt run it on my ride.

There's more to a kit than the dyno. Stop trolling.
your post does nothing to help this thread. so in essence, you are trolling

Its getting a little heated in here.
I think I've made it very obvious that I like the Centrifical blowers the best. SOS>COMPTECH/CT-Engineering>Vortec.
Leo, you will most likely be right under or right over the 400 whp mark with your future setup. I wish I had A)2.2L B)1220SL Blower C)Bigger heat exchanger
But, the 20-30whp/wtrq you will have over me is not worth selling everything I have in order to get the numbers I really want. Anything over 350whp is a monster in my eyes.
I'm very excited to see 518135s high boost SOS F20C AP1 get retuned with everything working properly
Man, I love high boost S2000s.
