why not jjust lower the price a tad?? i think thatll get more kits off the shelf then this tactic.

most people on here know the KW kit is a good kit... its not that they arent sure that the kit is a good kit.. its more just that its quite a bit more dough then the competitors at the same or more HP. if i keep the s.. or continue on with the f22.. im more then likely going to end up with a KW kit.. just dont have the money for it right now.

Awesome deal, you really can't beat this. If I was going to go the supercharger route I'd definitely be going KW

Yeah I have to agree.

For around the same price point you can get Mase's turbo which would eat the the KW kit as an appetizer. Mase's kit for $500 more gets an AEM, or $800 or so more gets a K-pro... well worth the extra money. Not to mention SOS, which is $500 cheaper with similar power. And it can support smaller pulleys without over spinning the blower to get you into 400+ territory.

I'm guessing Mase's kit release and the reported water pulley failures reported here put a big dent in their sales.

KW is kind of the odd man out right now... or the man in the middle with no great leaps in performance over the competitors to justify its price.

Not many people are going to install the kit themselves, the people on this board are probably some of the few. That means you drop $800-1000 to install, and the same to remove it. Are you really going to drop $2k just to TEST the kit? That would be idiotic.

Just lower the price already. The kit is worth about $4500-$5200 on the top end. (so is SOS for that matter) If you want to sell more kits this is how you'll have to do it. With Mase's kit at the price it's at and your kit at the price it's at WITH the engine management... People will go with Mase.

This isn't really that special.

You spend 10 hours installing, and 10 removing it. If it was a 6 month test it would be good, 30 days considering the work to install it isn't worth the effort. And if you can't install it yourself you could spend over $2k to install and remove if you don't like it.

And lets be realistic, I'm pretty sure their wouldn't be any problems in the 30 day trial either. Now if they want to front the install and removal costs if you decide to return the kit then I would agree this is a great thing... But that's not going to happen.

CARB certification is worth some premium, or at least can be put up against higher performance as a reason to buy for us Cali people (I still see CARB pending for my '08).

But a lower package price would move more units. Sell me the CARB approved HB for my '08 at $5K installed with warranty and you can make me an appointment in Norco!

Many a company claim "carb pending" and never do it. I'd bet you just about anything they have not submitted ANYTHING to CARB yet, which at the current rate of approvals puts it out 2 years if they did it next week. You'd get carb cert end of 2011 but more likely 2012 if your lucky. And that's if they did it right now!

With their complete lack of time lines or info I can guarantee "CARB Pending" is a marketing ploy at this point. It's very expensive, you have to provide the car for up to 6 months to 2 years... Ya, it's not happening or it would have been done already or they'd at least give some sort of update like "Everything submitted, we expect it around X "

If CARB is important for you, get a CT, greddy, or Vortech. Don't wait a million years for the never going to happen cert from KW.
