KraftWerks - "Love It or Leave It" Program
Great Discussion. As I said a week or two back great marketing strategy as well particularly in these times. And I love the kit.
Regarding the tensioner pulley upgrade OJR explained it as an outer "bearing pedestal" that will take up the space between the M8 bolt and the M17 bearing ID. A Very good idea.
As far as the OEM water pump pulley goes most guys I've talked with point to "harmonic vibration" as the likely culprit. It is likely that Honda adapted that stamped (2.5mm thick) steel pulley from another vehicle already in production.
One of the aftermarket pulley companies is supposed to be putting out a thicker billet 6061 "5mm" version of what they sell now because of similar failures that they've had with their product. Keep an eye out for that part if you are at all worried about your OEM WP pulley failing.
