i have a 2007 s2000. i have it for about 8 mnths already. i'm just wondering if i change the clutch to ACT can i just change the Pressure Plate and use the old oem disc and flywheel when going to KW High boost kit? or is it really recommended to change it to a new oem disc and flywheel? thanks in advance.

i wouldnt get the act pp. you should get a clutch that holds the power not the pressure plate. get an aftermarket clutch like clutch masters or competition clutch stage 3

The CC stage 3 is an excellent choice. It drives in a very stockish fashion, and is good for up to 500WHP. I had it in my turbo S and the clutch was very friendly on the street.

Yes again on the CC stage 3. The clutch has the same feel as the stock after break-in. If you are going to the expense and time of removing the trans, replace it all while you have it opened up. I also used a new stock disk, bearing and a new 9lb flywheel. If I had to do it again I would probably go with an AP1 flywheel. Also, remove the cdv.

Why would you chose the AP1 flywheel over a 9lb flywheel? Just curious. Isn't the AP1 flywheel like 13lbs or something like that. Would it just be the difference in cost that would make the AP1 flywheel better?

well sometimes the lightest flywheel possible isn't the best. revs drop to quick with a 9lb flywheel

More rotating mass = more low end torque.

Going from 22lbs to 9lbs is NICE for rev-ups and the parasitic load from the sc but like s.hasan546 states, revs drop like a rock and just normal driving takes some time to learn how to make it smooth again. The AP1 fw is lighter than the AP2 sled wheel but probably more gracious when it comes to normal or mild spirited driving; price is probably the same.
