Leaky catch can lines
Hey guys, I got lines and fittings from full blown this past winter, and I have them looked up tothe left side of my valve cover. I have a vented hood and I can see smoke every so often from the AN fitting leaking oil onto my manifold. Same with it leaking down the side of my catch can.
Now. It's not leaking from the hose, but leaks from where the fitting attaches to the cover and the catch can. I have used high temp Teflon tape, and cranked the hell out of the fitting to the point of where the hose is starting to twist and it still leaks.
It leaks right between the fitting "nut" and the small metal tube leading to the hose. Not between the nut and the valve cover. only on the 45 degree ones.
I think at this point it's time to buy new fittings ? Maybe not maybe so ?

They didnt seal for the first 2 weeks. And I torqued the death out of them. Like to the point of tightening them more every day to the point of putting all my weight on the wrench.
Yes its by the flange. Not the hose.

On my oil pan I had a -10 bung welded on. The oil pan was dropped and the an fitting was dented in a little and wouldnt seal. I used some Hondabond on the mating surface and it sealed just fine with no issues.
