Nice build bro! What honing process did Endyne use on your block? The crosshatching looks like a conventional honing process used for iron sleeves. I was under the impression that FRM sleeves require a unique honing process that results in an off-color, smooth finish. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Both the blocks that I've had built for this car were honed this way. But considering Endyn has been in business and has been specializing in S2ks for years, I'd trust that they honed the walls correctly

Ooh, good point. I may have to look into that.

you have to use a special hone but the pattern can be different for the type of rings you are going to run. engine looks good hope it goes well

Gonna be a few months before I can start looking at kits again with this motor build setting me back a bit, so I got the engine tuned by Seth Francis down here in Texas at CarTune Performance. He's been all around the nation and teaches the EFI courses, he was recommended to me by Larry over at Endyn. He did some solid work, knocked the tune out in about 2 hours and the car runs perfectly!

We ended up making 212whp and 143wtq on a low comp 9.5:1 engine! I'm pumped about the results for sure. Dont let the dip at 5k fool you, vtec is set to 3.8k, I just have a nasty resonance disturbance around 5.5k from my exhaust which kills power, I've had this issue ever since I started tuning my car a couple years back, I'm thinking its the stock header collector to 63mm TP to 70mm Dual exhaust step thats to blame. If I wasn't boosting, I would worry about clearing it up, but I'll probably just do an Evac pipe to replace my TP when I boost and call it a day.

Here's the dyno from that day. Was about 95* out and pressure was hovering around 29.5. He said he's known for his dyno to run damn near "correct." On the street, it feels just as fast as my old 11:1 engine did, just not QUITE as much torque below 4k or so.
