Looking to turbo
Hey,
I just bought my s2k in November. Only slightly modded, with Invidia q300 and 70mm test pipe, skunk2 springs and Enkei Edr9's. I'm looking to turbo it and just curious about the process. I'm on a pretty strict budget, mostly because I'm 18 and blew most of my savings on the car itself. I'm looking to get close to 350whp. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Joe

seeing as its an ap1. you need to learn to drive it first. no vsa for you so youll get slidey real fast. do yourself a favor:
get a compreassion and leakdown. check retainers. MUST. replace with ap2 on intake side
1. Take a course/track a few times and learn your car
2. fuel pump/regulator and psi gauge on rail
3. ems and injectors get it tuned.
4. clutch. resurfaced oem flywheel but replace bearings
5. gauges. boost/afr
6. turbo. buy reputable or youll spend more in the long run

learn the car, learn it's limits.
If money is an issue or you have a tight budget, wait, save up and buy one that is been proven to wield great results and reliable. or go SC like me lol.
pssssh, call FBM ask for LJ, stage 1 kit and your done. will make 350-500 depending on gas type.
these learn to drive responses are condescending and he isnt asking for fatherly advice.
motor = chuck norris
drive train = boy in the bubble
FI + s2k = HARD ON

I HIGHLY recommend when it comes to turning to FI on your S that you save up and buy the kit you want.
If you skimp out and go the cheap route you will end up spending more in the long run.
Don't hesitate to ask us any more questions!

On a budget and forced induction don't go together. Being 18 and it's your only car just wait until you have a daily. Your car will be down for periods of time and the kit doesn't go on become drivable in a day
