Default Low boost. Altitude?

Finally did some data logging today.

Set my boost guage for peak/hold.

3rd gear pull 10 psi
3rd gear pull 11.5psi
4th gear pull 11.8psi

I'm at 3700elevation. Running a 3.4"pulley on an ap2 with novi 1200 blower.

the SOS site says I should be in the 13-14 psi range. However I hear that they are conservative and some people are seeing a couple psi higher than the SOS website

are you air to air or air to water intercooled? air to air drops a minimum of 2psi and up to 4-5psi if there are too many turns in the piping. you loose boost with altitude as we are belt driven where a turbo would spin higher and compensate to a point.

SOS website says 3.4" on a 1200 should be 14.5-15.5 psi, although I know those numbers are to be taken with a grain of salt.

3700 ft is ~ 12.7 psia versus 14.7 psia or so at sea level.

At 3700 ft, 11.8 psig of boost means a pressure ratio of 1.93.

At sea level, 14 psig of boost means a pressure ratio of 1.95.

Your pressure ratio is right where it should be given your pulley size. I suspect that if you travel to sea level, you'll find your boost level to peak between 13-14 psig.

Larger exhaust will also reduce boost levels.

Also, I don't plan on leaving the city with this car. Is it safe just to get a smaller pulley to up the boost safely? Say a 3.2" or 3"?
