Default Low Boost question

If one was to run 6-7psi on an AP1 using a CTSC kit (non-ac), would it be required or recommended to upgrade any parts of the fuel and/or drivetrain systems? If not, at what point would you want to do these things on an AP1 specifically? Thank you.

A base non aftercooled comptech kit requires nothing. You'll make 260-280 whp and it'll be lots of fun

stock clutch is good up to 300whp I think more people experience PP plate issues. Least thats what it was for me with my Greddy kit. 3rd Gear load would cause the clutch to slip up top and the clutch was practically new. I got the ACT clutch and PP. Which is basically stock clutch with a stronger PP and it has held wonderfully. Might as well upgrade it.

Oh and I only say upgrade it now. Because you have to drop the subframe to swap the clutch. With a Vortech or comptech being mounted above the support bracket under the hood you have to remove it to get good clearance. At least I had to with my Vortech.

All depends on life of the clutch and how it has been used. Should last for a good while though. Not a very big bump in torque with the base kits.
I'm on stock clutch with the vortech kit. 137k miles too!!
