When u pop the new one it just dial the duty cycle back a smudge if you are worried and make a pull. If boost feedback is setup then it shouldn't be bad.

Sounds like a bad MAC. The location is fine. Mine sits less than a foot from my turbo with no issue. sounds like it has an internal short when it starts to warm up. 30$ for a new one

The AEM is a MAC with a AEM sticker on it.

You can pick up these solenoids at grainger for like 30 bucks. Not sure of the model number though.

i would buy one of those new ones off grainger but if i buy a different solenoid then i have to retune , ive been messing with my solenoid a lil bit more before getting a new one . when i disconnect the solenoid completely i dont boost more then 6-7 psi , that is stock boost. now when i plug it back in , it will boost to 10-11 psi , so its working but not hitting full boost that my car was tunned for , it should be showing 13-14 psi, now when i start my car from a cold start and give it a pull once my car is warmed up it works, it boost full boost like its supposed to , it only stops boosting full boost when ive been driving the car for a while and the solenoid gets burning hot then it goes back to hitting only 10-11 psi . and its not the area i have it in thats getting it hot, i think its the solenoid itself overheating . will some kind of internal short , or faulty solenoid cause this ? what you guys think ?

You need to check the AEM Calibration and make sure the duty cycle for the solenoid when the engine is in vacuum isnt crazy high.
