Default main harness removal question

In removing the main harness I have all the wires draped over the passenger side.

I cannot fully remove the harness because this metal ring around one of the plugs is bigger than the hole.

I know the harness has to come out this way because the ABS plug will not fit through the drivers side hole either.

so what did you guys do that have removed the main harness? That metal ring does not look very easy to cut through

Wiring will start on the removal of secondary air and a few other things if I can figure how to get the freaking thing out.

Disconnect the 3 plugs from the ECU and pull the harness through the firewall.

Pop the 2 pins out and re-pin them back in after you pull it through?

This IS NOT the ENGINE harness that clips into the ECU... that one comes out easy.

I dont know what the proper term for this harness is, but Im calling it the MAIN harness. Its the one with all the secondary air clips.

Nobody has pulled this or what?... uggghhh
