Thumbs up 5' ecu extension harness?

Are these still around? Or is it difficult to source the plugs and pins to make the harness on my own??

Science of Speed includes one (kind of, it has more wires going to the piggyback) with their SC kit. You could always call them and inquire...you may have to modify it slightly for it to be "just an extension" though, but that may only be soldering 4 wires together.

I have one from Boomslang that I'll be putting up for sale with my AEM 1012 in the next couple of weeks. Going K-Pro for emissions.

The parts to built the harness are made by Tyco Electronics. I looked into building my own AFCNeo adapter harness and got the small plugs below as free samples from them. I never got around to getting the large connector(sample wasn't available), proper crimper, and pins to complete the project but the small plugs are correct (for my 01 at least). Most of these kinds of parts are only available in large quantities so I don't know where one could get the individual pieces from.

Small plugs:

• Product Type = Housing
• Gender = Plug
• Plug Configuration = 040II/070II Hybrid
• Number of Positions = 31
• Mating Connector Lock Type = Side Lock
• Color = Blue

Product Type Features: 179681-6
• Product Type = Housing

• Mating Connector Lock Type = Side Lock
• Color = Gray

Product Type Features: 179679-6
• Product Type = Housing

Large connector:

• Receptacle Configuration = 040II/070II Hybrid
• Number of Positions = 88

I have a boomslang harness but the space next to the dead pedal isn't really sufficient without modification. I might just end up modifying the area if I can't find the extended harness or parts to build one.

If you've already got a boomslang harness just buy the wire and splice in however much you need. Soldered and heatshrinked properly and it will work fine.

I'm curious, why do you need a 5 foot extension?
