Sucks this happened. let me know if you need any help george.
I would pick up a dirt cheap short block, and toss it in there, to get you out on the road, and havin some fun. then send this block out and have it sleeved, and then build it.
Its very unlikely theres any damage to the head. i would pull the cams and towers and have a look, if all is ok, done deal. pick up any s2k short you want, slap that head on there and put it back in. tune and drive.. WITH hose clamps.
By the time your motor gets sleeved, and the bottom gets assembled, youll have outgrown the 400-450 whp you can have, and be ready for the tank bottom end. I would also have a sick head done to go on when the sleeved setup goes back in.
Again, let me know if you need any help with any of this. dave

Thats another good question, i cant beleive the "tuner" didnt see the lack of hose clamps, and refuse to tune the car.

i used the fittings as they were intended to be used... they had the little red "clamps" on them, but apparently they are just for decoration

Oh, im not blaming him, im just saying, i figured someone would have noticed the lack of security for the oil hoses, and went... dude! and saved you.
This is why i use swedged hoses on all my builds. i wont use barbed ends at all. it does triple the cost, but when your sitting in the seat you are now, you wouldnt complain about 400 dollars in oil lines.
As i stated, im down to help in any way i can. this blows bad.

when you go with a built engine, you might wanna check for leaks and if the oil light goes on again TURN THE CAR OFF!!!
