Default map sensor issues on DBW, has this happened?

having issues with car idle/performance. . .

All the symptoms are identical to the notorious ap1 MAP sensor problems.

When I look at the map sensor on my DBW and the map sensor on an older ap2/ap1, they are completely different.

Are they essentially the same?
Has anybody had issues with their DBW Map sensors?

Thanks in advance.

Also, I pulled the MAP off and noticed that there were some crusty oil deposits on the inside of the map, is this common? does that mean its time to replace the MAP?

I've never heard of this on the 06+. I did have this problem with my 03.

Do you have an aftermarket intake system?

Lewis, it's most likely from blow by, take a picture of your pcv setup and send it to me. Not sure how to clean it, I know maf's are very sensitive and need to be cleaned carefully but I've yet to clean a map sensor.

BTW this is where you should have posted this
I shouldn't be posting in here with my NA badge hehehehe.

Clean it and the passageway with brake parts cleaner and see if it helps.

is it a good idea to spray MAF cleaner into the manifold where the sensor mates into?
