Can anyone confirm if this turbo has an inbuilt restrictor?

Just before I sold mine, I had a new oil feed line fitted to it and not sure if the mase line had a restrictor in it, or if the restrictor is built into the turbo?

The guy I sold it to has informed me the turbo has blown and he wants money towards a new one, but I want to confirm on the oil seals.

My old MASE 5857BB kit came with a restrictor built in at 0.035. I had to add a smaller resitrictor 0.031 on top of the 0.035 to stop the turbo from smoking.

 

My 5857jb used to smoke at cold start up due to the high oil pressure. I put in a .065 restictor, problem solved!

Is that built into the internals of the turbo (the top casing) or in the oil feed line supplied?

 

The 0.035 is in the internals. The 0.031 can be added to the oil feed line. It is a nitrous jet I had Centtral Florida Turbo make for me. It is not expensive and will solve the smoking problem. Pm Fernando at CFT or have someone local do it for you.
