just wondering what the max impeller speed for the Novi 1000 ap1 redline 9000rpm is. Right now im using a 3.875 pulley. just wondering how much smaller i can go before i hit that max. and what boost would that give me

 

i think its around 12-13 psi... but its more so the fact that the pulley's get too small and can no longer grip the belt so they slip.

whats that 3.875 pulley giving you?

I have the same pulley but havent installed it yet.

 

Well i have a UR FMIC and its putting down 6.2psi. i think its a 9lbs pulley.

 

the 3inch pulley spins the novi 1000 to its limit (around 55k rpm I think) with a 9k redline when using the comptech kit. You can use the 2.8 pulley if you redline at about 8.

 

that is true.... Im running a 3.2 that nets 11-12 psi. Im looking to go 3.0 if I ever get a J's Header and J's 70RS

 

with the 3.875 pulley and ur fmic i got 6.2psi. trying to net about 9lbs its either that or find an aftercooler

 

I would totally go for the 3.2 or even the 3.0 pulley in your case then. I assume you're going to be tuning for it anyway and will have injectors and ems by that point, so why not?
