tap into cyl #3 as it runs the hottest considering all injectors/coils are operating normal, firing order 1342 leaves cyl 3 with the least time to dissipate heat.

Prior to having my EGT sensor installed, I created a thread and asked which runner to have tapped. The majority of people told me #4 and that is what I went with. Plus, Defi themselves recommended #4.

good choice.....looks cleaner tapped into the back side rather than the front anyway
