Default meth heads needed.

ok, so i thought i might have a leak in the bottle. i used the oem windsheild washer fluid container and tapped it.

i filled it to the top one night, left the cap off, and the next morning it was maybe half inch or less lower in that spout from where it was the night before. to me , i said damn it a leak. took teh fender off today, filled it to the top with water, and no leak at all.

SOOOOOOO, wondering if anyone can tell me if im crazy or does meth just evaporate over time? the s2k can sit for anywhere from 1-3 weeks between drives. right now im kinda pissed cuase i took the fender off and cant fix anything lol.

anywho, any help is appreciated!

Methanol evaporates very quickly, that is why it feels cold when you get it on your hand. As long as the lid is on its is ok since it will reach equilibrium concentrations in the air and the liquid below and will not evaporate further.

did you just ask if a highly volatile alcohol evaporates? Put the cap on next time.

guess i did. well i left water in it overnight, and i cant find anywhere that its leaking. water level looks the same. so guess it was just evaporation. maybe less then i thought evaporated. ehhh, oh well, time to put the fender back on. though it does look nice just sitting in my living room
