Should be fine but again why even risk it? Install the unit but just leave the main power wire unplugged.

You can just turn the switch off too. As long as you have self control.

LOL
Yes you can run it but your car will run RICH without a tune.
Do some research, there is a TON of stuff on the internet and it seems that at least half of who replied to you have zero clue about WATER/Methanol injection.

Generally this is how I would do it.......especially if you're not using an EMS with multiple maps:

Run a boost controller with your "high" setting as your methanol setting. Tune the boost accordingly on the dyno with the meth, see what you can get away with in terms of a boost increase without making the afr's too dangerous.

It's an easier way to up the boost and get more power without having to completely retune the fuel map as well for the meth/boost increase.

And to activate the meth, use a boost sensor. When it hits x psi, methanol injects.

Once the kit is intstalled I guess the tuner sets it so it injects when it sees boost?

I am not going to up the boost past 10PSI, I want this as a safeguard/precautionary measure, is that stupid?

generally this would be too difficult, which is why you would have to remember to check the methanol level before switching to the high boost setting Of course, you could have a "low level" indicator so that when the meth level reaches a certain point, an LED kicks on somewhere.
