Meth/nos what do u guys think
i'm assuming you'd want your car tuned for the nos and without the nos seperately yeah?
what i mean is with some of the better tuning devices you have the availability of loading a couple different maps. i'm running the em-u and it has two i think.
so down the line if i decided to do something like this, it would be best to keep my tune as it is now, and then tune for a 75 shot or whatever on the other map correct?
all it takes is the flip of a switch to bounce between maps.

Hero - can you put some more info about that double mapping ecu thing?
Revenge - Agree with him; any info on roughly how long it lasts and also the price of a refill...

the e-manage ultimate and aem ems have multiple maps you can run. obviously you can only run one at a time, but you can switch between them by flipping a switch on the device itself.
I never thought about running it for the purpose of nos, but the more i think about it, the more i like the idea. that way your car is running the optimal tuned map for whatever you need. i mean you're not going to be spraying everyday, so it would make sense to only run the more aggressive map when needed.
just an fyi: the reason most guys use different maps is for racing or track days. you can tune your car on 91 pump gas for everyday driving, and then you can tune your car on a different map for 100 octane race gas.
obviously with the higher octane gas you can run more aggressive settings than you can on 91 pump gas so you can see where the benefit of having 2 maps are.
i don't think you can do this with a vafc though, which is another reason i don't like that thing.
If your only running 75 shot running another map is pointless. You have your stock map then just buy a wideband to tune the A/F youself. Your car is not going to detonate on 75 shot with 93 octane. Just give her a splash of 100 octane when you want to run a 100 shot.
I have a 10lb bottle. Lasts me long enough. Maybe about 10 pulls through 2nd,3rd,and 4th gear. Im not 100% sure.

[QUOTE=08YellowCR,Apr 12 2009, 09:01 AM] hey im thinking about running meth with my CR but having it to where i could run just normal gas when i wanted to any one running meth or nos in there S. I would just run it conserative nothing crazy at all. But im thinking that with hearder, test pipe and a exaust would give me some nice numbers/ feel to me. I want to keep as stock as possible don't want to get to crazy yet but just thinking that
