Default Modified Vortech Owners

Is anyone having a problems w/ their Vortech Tensioner Pulley Screw backing out(causing the belt to slip) and having to constantly re-tighten it ? This question is more focused to the Votech owners w/ smaller Pulleys with more Boost. If so.... what was your fix to this problem?
Thanks

The tightening of the Vortech supercharger belt is a two step process.

This is the adjuster:

This is the nut that must be released about 1/4 turn before adjusting and then locked down after adjusting. You access this nut from underneath the car. Your nut will look different than this one.

The nut on the pulley(not the screw) has nylon or plastic on the threads. It can be misleading when tightening because it always feels snug, but you have to really tighten it in order to prevent the pulley from moving and loosening the belt.

Plus, the loosening of this nut can place a great amount of stress onto the tensioner pulley screw.

Yes you need to get to it from under the car, and you also have to remove one of the plastic undertrays under the blower.

Thanks guys! I replaced the old Tensioner Pulley Nut with a new "Jam Lock Nut" and added some locktite. I was having having problems with the nut backing out every 400 miles or so causing the Tensioner Screw to have to be retightened. All fixed now.......... I hope
I believe the problem was caused by having the Unit removed on two occasions for upgraded Pulleys.
