My blown engine results :(
^^Not necessarily. A lot of the times when a bearing is spun, it doesnt ever hurt the crank journal or even the rod journal. In most cases, the crank and rod journal only has deposits on it from the spun bearing that can be machined/cleaned off without even touching the actual surfaces of the crank or rod journals and the journals can be repolished and its good as new.

That sucks man!
Was this due to oil starvation also or just the rod bolt being bad? How was your oil pressure at 9000 rpm?

Are the head bolts stretch bolts? If so, you have to replace them everytime you removed them, regardless if they are ARP or OEM.
Also, did you go with oversized berrings or OEM?

Always sorry to hear a fellow s2k owner having engine troubles, however it sounds like other issues caused the failure, not all out power.
We are still looking good.

this is just a lesson to buy new and better hardware.

How did you clean up the crank pins, and did you crack test and close/hone the rod?
then i clearanced oversized honda bearings into spec with plasti gauge. used the service book for specs and torque

im in the direction of going with inline pro. but is there someone better youd consider. price isnt an object. i wana have a strong engine this time that will take boost and abuse

not to be rude. there called journals. had them resurfaced a tad since the crank wasnt toast

i just dont understand why you had rod bolt failure when many many stock motors have made incredible power on the stock stuff....... ARP's arent even needed for the the head.....
