Update time!
So it has been a while since I last posted. CP was wayyyyyy behind on custom pistons so the wait was 3+ months. Regardless, ILP was able to get my stuff to me and now things are slowly coming together.

I picked up a 2011 335is transmission for $1100 from Bionic Auto Parts in Chicago. It was a pretty rad price as they keep increasing in price. There are 2 main reasons I chose the short ratio gearbox over the longer f80/2 m3/4 gear ratios. Firstly, the first gear on the 335is trans is actually longer than the first gear on the m4 trans. This is beneficial for digs and being able to put the power down. Secondly, the short ratio gear box assures that between every single shift, I stay in my powerband. I recently switched my turbo to a 7285 gen 2 DBB T4 1.28 AR for a little more headroom than the 6875. This transmission keeps be above 6700 rpm from 3rd-7th gear and still allows for 200+mph speeds. This makes sure that the turbo will always be in its peak operating RPM. Below I have attached a gear speed calculator that is very easy to use and play with. I went with the Xperformance adapter plate and flywheel as the ILP stuff is still in development.

ILP Rods. These rods are BEEFY. I mean really really heavy duty. I've helped build my good friends 1000whp evo motor and his rods were not nearly as big (Saenz 300m arp 625 bolt rod.) These rods weighed in at like 720ish grams each compared to the saenz that weighed like 600some. The 7/16 rodbolt is also huge.

ILP 2.5x valves. The exhaust valves are inconel sodium filled with a 6.5mm stem instead of 5.5mm. The intakes are stainless black nitrate coated valves. The valves are made by supertech and are VERY cool. I suggest looking up the inconel valves if you're interested in more information.

The 2.5x head package also comes with dual valve springs which I did not get a photo of. I think its a combined 110lbs but don't quote me on that. It also comes with anything else you'd need to assemble the head. Retainers, guides etc.

Now my pistons. These are epic. CP customs, dome coated, skirt coated, lateral gasported, DLC coated heavy duty wrist pin. PTW clearance is .005-.0055.

Final assembly of the motor will start within the next few weeks and I will be posting updates as thing progress!

What are you using to control the transmission?

Yep! Ended up making north of 1000whp on a dynojet. Changed the transmission to a T56 from grannas racing. The flywheel came loose, destroyed the motor and clutch, then I decided that buying a Tesla Model S Plaid is cheaper, easier, and a more reliable way to get 1100whp so I sold my s2000 as a parts car.
