That is insane, and I mean that in a good way!

I've always wanted to mod a series 2 CRX but using the front cut from an Integra/Civic at the rear making a rear engine rear wheel drive car.
Agreed!

well, i didn't get as much done as i had hoped this weekend. i'm out of mix gas for the mig, so i was stuck having to tig everything which was ok for control, but very time consuming.

i trimmed the rear bottom section of the trunk off since it isn't going to be used and i welded a small 1/2" by 3/4" rectangular 1/6" wall tube across the back.

tig welding this thing all the way across took just way to long. i gotta get some mig gas on monday.

here is the inside view. a flat piece of sheet metal will line up with the bottom of the tube bar which should make for an easy patch for the big hole in the trunk.

here is the driver's side wheel arch about 95% complete.

tig welding this in was a real bitch. i cut and fit the pieces, then tacked them altogether in the car and then pulled it out and welded all the way around and stuck it back in the car so i could weld it in.

here is the wheel well view. this isn't a very good pic... you can't really see much of the welds

Great project. It's always nice to watch someone who knows what they're doing.
