Put some descent sticky tyres, some rpm at the drag strip and you will find the limit of the AP2 box.

With all of the tool and skill that he has, it's best to do it now rather than later
I am actually with S2000Nvegas on this one... His tranny will be fine. No need to drop $15k on a set of PPG gears, or a custom bell housing adapter. The stock tranny can take 450rwhp all day long. Not even a set of Mickey Thompson's are sticky enough to break it at that power, with that weight.

In the stock setup, if you are running 600+rwhp with drag SLICKS, you are pushing it. Push 700rwhp, and you will be testing it on radials. 450rwhp is nothing for this transmission (yes, some have failed, but by-and-large they can take it... just like I am sure there are a few documented cases of the r33 trans failing).
