I wouldnt want to bore too much. Wouldnt that weaken the sleeves a lot? I mean if this engine is gonna see boost maybe a re-sleeve is the best option.

is there anyway to measure how deep the groves are? i dont' think a .25 over piston would cover it.

Anything more than slight vertical scratches is going to need more than a 0.25mm oversize. If there is any sign of material starting to drag up the bore, or any little rolled up flakes of metal getting smudged up the bores its going to take more than a 0.25mm oversize ( remember this is only 0.125mm material removal).

Get a workshop who has the facilities to hone FRM bores to take the offending bore to 87.25mm exactly and see if thats enough. Its the only way to really tell. i

If its only 1 bore with damage, the cheapest way would be to use a thinwall dry sleeve on that cylinder only and run the other 3 on the FRM.

true the local motor shop told me they could do that, but after i told him i was boosting a non-turbo motor he said he doesn't think that would be that strong. so I think i am gunna re-sleeve the whole motor and see what i end up with. for whp only looking for 500 so i think i can do that. with the supporting mods.

I would stay away from the h22 rods for anything over 400hp... they are known for breaking at that level.. get some eagle rods and widen the crank for peace of mind

For turbo I would either widen the crank and put the Eagle rods, or leave the crank alone and use the k1 technologies conversion rod.
