Thumbs up MY06 Tuning Problem! Please help!

Hello everyone. I have a problem. The main problem is that I keep getting inconsistent readings, like voltage, map sensors, etc. I am using a basemap and I can't get it to pull consistently. Everything is just out of spec and readings are all over the place! I am using either Greddy Blue or Greddy Ultimate to tune, but they both do the same thing.

Story:
Last Tuesday, I rolled up at Balanced Performance in Georgia to get tuned by Ed. The kit I bought is the Ultimate Racing Kit, got it from a s2ki member and it came with the E-Manage Blue. I have the Ultimate because I was tuned NA before. So we hooked up the Ultimate and started from scratch. From the beginning we notice something was not right. We played around on the dyno for about a hour before we checked all the readings and they were WAYYY off, very inconsistent. We then spent another hour trying to figure out what was wrong and what could be causing it. In the end we hooked up the Blue with the base map and did a pull and everything seemed fine.

Today, back on the dyno and tuning with the Blue, the same thing happened. Our first two pulls were OFF and we have no vtec and the power fell off after vtec. We did a second pull and same results. We then look at the readings again and exact same thing happened like last week. We then realize there is something definitely not right. Just for the hell of it, we did a third pull and vtec was back but A/F ratio dropped down to 10.3 during vtec. After playing with the dyno and trying to fix the richness, we came to conclusion that there is no way we can tune if we can not repeat consistent results with same map. We set one setting and did 3 pulls back to back and the three are not identical at all. I just feel like I wasted a total of 3 hours on the dyno.

There is something causing map sensors and everything to go wild and we can not figure what it is. Does anyone have any similar experience and can help me out? A friend of mine was suggesting that it could be my sparkplugs, if they were resisted or not. Balanced Performance replaced and gapped me some new sparkplugs before the dyno so I don't think that is an issue, unless they gave me the wrong ones.

Any suggestions?

btw. I am waiting for hondata to release kpro or something for the MY06!!! I hope there is a standalone solution for the MY06 soon!! I want to keep OBDII

what harness are you using with the Emanage Ultimate? First of all do NOT use the Emanage Blue it is a piece of crap compared to the Ultimate.

Also are you sure your tuner has ever tuned a DBW S2K.... Some tuners don't have to much experience with DBW S2ks and the greddy ult.

Also would like to know what harness you are using? Are you also sure the jumpers are set correctly on the eManage?

I am using bloomslang harness. Giles tuned me before with the Ultimate when I was NA so I think the jumper settings are correct. I am only using the blue because I have a basemap and it is running a bloomslang harness as well.

My tuner has not tuned any DBW s2k before, but I don't think it is any different than the older ones, or maybe I am wrong. He did tune a turbo Greddy AP1 before me and it pulled fine. My friend told me it might be my spark plugs, but could that cause all the craziness I am experiencing? He said something resistors/non-resistors sparkplugs..

Giles knows how to tune DBW S2Ks so thats probably why it was workign before and not anymore. Your new tuner might not be to familiar with dbw s2ks and/or greddy emanage ult.

it might be a problem in your harness or jumper settings..

are you using a greddy pressure sensor?

No I am not. I think Giles helped me set my setting when he tuned for me. Is the jumper setting for FI the same as NA?

Sorry I don't know the jumper settings for NA vs FI and I'm pretty sure you need to use the greddy pressure sensor!
