there was recently a picture in an FI thread of a modified oilpan, with both baffles welded in and the oilpan tap welded in place. I tried the search engine and had no luck. If anyone couls post these pics or a link to them i would really appreciate it, I want to show my welder what i had in mind!!!!!!!!!

Have a look half way down.

Make sure your welder uses the right procedure for welding an aluminium. I chose not to in the end in case it distorted the ally. Not too likely but I just used loctite on the threads.
