Default Need to make metal gasket....

Need to create 2 gaskets.

Turbo - Downpipe
Exhaust manifold - Turbo

The originals were just thin sheet metal. Best way to do this, I tried running without them...both leak lightly without a gasket in place.

Any reason I shouldn't go to kragen (assuming they sell it) and make one out of sheet metal gasket stuff???

Have all of the edges machined flat. Nothing is tighter then 2 pieces of perfectly flat metal. This is why inlinepro doesn't use gaskets. I have friends that try and use high temp gaskets and they still burn up and leak eventually.

I used em prior...but tossed em thinking it'd be better to have no gasket for exacctly that reason.....was a mistake. The pieces WERE flat but eventually the heat seems to warp the down pipe flange and now it doesn't work out.

the turbo and the exhaust manifold are both machined as is....
recently I ceramic coated the hot side of turbo....perhaps they'd seal up now? ...very iffy.

The flange on the DP obviously is just a flange maybe I could sand it flat with a T bar and sand paper over it...... try it again. It didn't leak hard just a little.

the only thin metal sheets available locally I can think of is aluminum flashing. don't think they sell thin sheets of stainless anywhere locally. If you want steel just go to a junkyard and cut off a piece of the side of a van

It might be easier to just order the gasket you need. ATPTURBO.COM is a good supplier
