Go with a Garret I'm one of the few that has actually tested the two. The used a 35R and 6262 both had the same AR exhaust housing. The test was on the same car, same boost, same day (about 2 hours to swap the turbo) the precision lost out in every manner. I had an EGT, EMAP, MAP, and an air temp sensor on the turbo outlet. I can honestly say that the precision was not better on any account including power AND spool. I am not biased towards Garret and at the time of the test was hoping the precision would be better or the same due to the cost difference.

It's worth noting though that this was at the 400hp level not maxed out for either turbo...

Don't fall for the hype a lot of shops are pushing these turbos (some with dishonest power numbers). We hoped to push them as well, they are much cheaper making kits easier to sell and they have a higher profit margin but in the end quality and performance is more important.

Are you running an inline or revhard manifold? If so, did you have to notch the frame to fit that?

I hope that turbo works out for you I am really intrested in the results. I just know that the 5965 turbo most people run can make just under 500hp on a inline set up which slightly better than your set up. But you should see better spool and great results regardless. I guess it also depends on what dyno you use.

you think I will have to cut the frame with the 5857? The turbonetics I had fit with a little room to spare

another question.. could i use the compressor cover from my turbonetics on the 5857? I know that fits in the tight space.

Ill notch the frame if needs be, but an easy out would be better
