New Engine Wiring Harness! Rywire!
Hey guys,
Just wanted to share with you something new that I installed! Ryan of Rywire.com is a friend of mine who has been building custom wiring harnesses for the past 4 years. Many of the "tucked" harnesses that you see in other Honda's, Acura's, Nissan's, ect. are all built by Rywire himself. He recently completed a engine harness for Bisi's new CR-Z which was debuted at SEMA just last month.
I have always wanted a new harness since I boosted my S2000. Seeing a few S2000's catch fire is always a fear; watching your pride and joy go up in flames is something that I don't want to think about. Once we start cutting up and splicing or soldiering new things onto the factory harness, reliability starts to go out the window. Diagnosing problems also becomes a factor when we modify to the extent that the forced induction community knows all too well.
Rywire recommended that we go all out with this harness to ensure that nothing was left to chance. I couldn't be happier with the outcome! He added boots to all the joints, Rychem DR25 sleeving, a Mil-Spec connector on the firewall, brand new mil-spec wiring, and a host of other features. Enough talking! Here are the pictures of how everything came out!
Ryan is just opening up a new shop in Southern California, and he should be opening up anytime soon! He is still taking orders and completing them (my harness took about a week to complete). If you guys have any questions please feel free to ask here or over PM! If you need to get in contact with Ryan his email is: Ryan(at)Rywire.com
Let me know what you guys think!!!!

looks pretty nice son! i like the bulkhead connector on the firewall esp.
i do something similar, but i use fiberglass impregnated silicone sheething in various diameters(stepping down like he does, with shrink joints). i get the material from an aviation supply store and it is tested to withstand 600 degree continuous contact heat to protect the wires. i just keep the oem harness, de-pin, and re-sheeth everything(as if it came with it from the factory). it works great, looks great, and costs me around $60 to do the engine side(no trans), and about 2 full afternoons of work.
i have seen his stuff before on other tucked hondas and it is always nicely done.
now go show off to all your friends with the crappy oem segmented plastic loom! lol
