Default Newly Installed CTSC

Hey guys, so over the weekend, my buds and I successfully installed my CTSC with AC on my AP1.
First off, holy cow, what a difference! I cannot believe how much faster it is haha.

But, just a few questions:
So, when VTEC used to kick in, the motor sound went WAY high pitched (like, it screamed!) and I have a Cold Air intake btw. Now, with the SC, there's almost no sound changeover when VTEC hits. Is this normal to experience? It pulls strong and runs fine, so no complaints. Just can't help but be worried about the changes lol.

Secondly, anyone that has this kit or has helped install, is there any known issues with the metal crossbar/crossmember in the engine bay (below where the stock intake sat), rubbing on your blowers oil return line? My return line (the curved metal end between each nut), was sitting directly in the edge of that metal crossmember, and it grounded a nice chunk into the line. Luckily, it didn't puncture it, and I MacGyver'd a temporary fix by jacking up the motor an inch and shoving a think piece of rubber between the return line and the crossmember. I don't want that to be a permanent fix though.
So, is my blower not sitting how it should? Why is it not lined up better? Here is a zoomed in picture of the line sitting on the crossmember. I'll try to take better ones later.

The impeller is blocking a lot of the induction noise, so that's normal.

The oil return is a tight fit, but really shouldn't be rubbing like that. My SOS blower does not have such a fitting, but it is close to the crossmember, but the hose doesn't rub on the member.

I'm not sure on the Comptech, but are you sure the blue fitting is standard for the return fitting? I have one on the oil pan return line, but not on the blower outlet.

On the early kits you're supposed to bend back the cross member to fit the blower amd oil return line. Mine is notched back a little on my Novi1000 kit.

Ohhh, that makes sense. I wanted to grind a chunk out of it haha. I did figure out that my motor mount near that side is toast, so maybe everything is sagging down a bit too? I'm gonna replace that this week and see if it helps, but if not, grinder it is!
Thanks!

This is from one of the install pictures at driptopia showing the bent crossmember:

In my opinion, this was an incredibly lazy design that could have been remedied by changing the bracket design slightly to avoid having to permanently damage the car. The blower is in a different position with Novi 1200 kits which now don't require any bending.

Yeah, I just wish I had known about this fitment issue from the start, because now I have to pull the blower and the AC just to get a grinder down there. Sigh..
