Nitrous on an +06?
I've been lurking around in the FI forum for a while now so I though I'd ask a few questions.
I've done some research on nitrous, pretty much didn't know anything but that got me asking myself more questions.
1. One of the things to run nitrous safely is to retard the timing (depending on how much you're spraying) So Greddy E-Manage (with the boomslang harness) would work then right? Remember, I got +06 DBW.
2. Being DBW is there any possible reason why you wouldn't be able to run nitrous?
3. Do you need to upgrade the fuel pump? (no more than a 100 shot)
I think thats all for now. Not sure what I'm gonna do to my car yet, just trolling the forum.
kthxbye

1. Yes you can do that with the Greddy Emanage Ult. But you have to also find a tuner that can do it. Most tuners don't know how to tune the 06+ dbw S. Depending on your area you can find a few. Ptuning in VA or Giles in NH are the best.
2. The only problem would be tuning.
3. Not sure. i know a few people with boost that didn't upgrade the fuel pump so i don't think it should be a problem. But yo should get one step colder plugs
Make sure to get a bottle warmer, Window Switch, WOT Switch, and purge.

my biggest concern is that when inline pro tuned my car, i basically ran out of injectors. i only have 675cc and the dyno curve was begginning to flatten out. i wonder would i need bigger injectors before i ran nitrous, but i dont think it would require extra fuel from my injectors
Thank you all for the replies!
I'm a little confused, are you guys talking dry or wet? If I was to ever run nitrous I'd run wet. So if you're running a wet kit you're not squeezing more fuel out of your injectors, when you spray you got the extra fuel coming from it's own nozzle. Other than timing why do you have to tune it?
Time to put on the flame suit.

If you want to have the best of both worlds, max out N/A set-up and also having a safe nitrous set-up and tune, its takes a lot of time and effort, it is not going to be a "set it and forget it" type of tune......
I ran a zex dry 75 shot on my car, it ran fine, stock ECU so the timing was stock, extra fuel was added through the injectors Via zex brain box pulling vacuum from the stock FPR.
now if I had a tune, I might have been able to squeeze a good amount more power out of it and ran safer.
I'd just stick with a 75-80 shot and not go to 100 shot if I were you. You won't need to retard your timing, just get 1 step colder spark plugs and you're good to go. Your stock fuel pump with be good for that, but I have no clue about 100 shot.
Just a reminder too. Different nitrous companies rate their shot sizes differently meaning some rate it at flywheel hp and some at wheel hp. I know NOS is flywheel and NX is wheel.
Some companies also purposely make you run rich with their kits like NOS does so you don't run lean. I know for my dry kit, If I'd replace my fixed fuel return tee with one where I can change the jet, I could lean it out more(since it forces you to run very rich) for a few more ponies. Since you're wet, you can adjust this by changing out the fuel jet to a different size, but I wouldn't recomend doing it until you check out your air fuel ratio first.
