I was wondering if it would be ok to run a nitrous kit on my stock 05 S?? and if not wat mods do u think i need?

 

You'll get as many opinions as replies. I can tell you I ran a 55 shot (dry) on my car for about a year, only to replace it with a Comptech SC.

A local member has a 75 shot wet system on an '02 or '03 that works very well and will run neck-n-neck with another local '04 with the Comptech SC.

I couldn't afford the trunk space for a 10lb bottle so I used a 2.5 in the spare. I got tired of playing the bottle game and spent the money for the SC, best mod I've done to a car, ever.

 

it's pretty safe if you do it properly..... a buddy of mine had a 100shot going for quite some time......

major thing most people forget for some odd reason is the spark plugs.. you gotta get colder plugs....

other nice things to get..
- msd window switch ... (this allows the nitrous to be sprayed only during a certain rpm range and shut off on it's own.)
- purge kit
- remote bottle opener

So how much faster is it by just going with a 55hp shot? I know you'd raced with other ricer out there with the nitrous setup that you had going on, what was the result? Oh and how does it hold up while running against say a Evo or Sti from a dig? I'm thinking about getting my nitrous system install but I wanna see what the results are before I do. I got two 2lb bottle with a zex module...
