Default Nitrous trouble

I was using a NOS brand wet nozzle with .036 Nitrous and .024 fuel. I switched to a ZEX brand nozzle and use their recommended size4 of .040 Nitrous and .020 Fuel also installed a wide band AFR at the same time. The wide band shows a near stead 10 while spraying and occasionally drops to 9.9. The car also does not seem to pull as hard with the new nozzle.

I have checked to make sure the jets are not clogged and checked the lines. I'm almost certain that some nitrous is spraying because if i turn the bottle off and only fuel is sprayed i get a AFR that ranges from 9.5-9.8 . This is very close to what the AFR is with the bottle open but their is a definite difference in the readings.

Any ideas?

Did you use the NOS jets in the Zex nozzle? If so, you put narrow stemmed jets into a wide stemmed jet nozzle. That might have something to do with it since they don't fit like they're supposed to.

The only thing that you changed from before is the nozzle and jetting, correct? I know with anything bigger than a .038 jet for me, I was getting knock and the car felt like a slug with the higher shot on the stock ECU.

Also, like said before, how much pressure do you have in your bottle?

Ah, didn't know that but does make sense since they are different companies and ZEX claims some "technology" in their nozzles. I'd look into the nozzles and pills also...

I thought it was a bit rich but i was running a larger fuel jet and smaller nitrous jet and it seemed to pull more.. I will lean it out though and see what happens.

IM running a .042 nitrous and .022 fuel jet with a dyno tune nitrous kit and im at 11.3 steady afr and it pulls really hard with 950psi. Make sure ur psi is right and get a smaller fuel jet if needed.
