Can anyone suggest what could the noise be?
happened just after installation of the supercharger!??!!?

The car is running strong, but I'm afraid this noise means some failure is going to happen soon.

The Paxtons all make that noise...to an extent.

Mine does not do it at idle. I think you have some shaft play, and may benefit from new seals or a rebuild. This can be accelerated by having the belt too tight.

How is your belt adjusted? Do you have the right amount of play in the belt?

 

Replace the woodruff key and you'll be fine.
It is between supercharger and pulley.

 

Mine makes that noise as well. Has since I installed it about 18 months ago. Has worked fine for me. I think they are pretty noisy blowers. I'm rebuilding mine over the winter however since I want to upgrade some stuff in it anyways.

 

Let me know if you get rid of the noise after the upgrade
