Default noob question>>>

been researching CT/VT sc's for awhile and i can see to find an answer to this question:

does a test pipe on a stock VT/CT setup affect AFRs in a bad way? i.e leaning them out dangeriously?

my plans are to just bolt up said kit to my custom 70mm header back and go, but my gut thinks that this will cause a LOSS of boost. meaning that for example on a 7psi vortch kit i'll only show 6psi at redline. i would imagine that it might also make it run leaner? is this true? can i use my vafc to pour some fuel on it at 6k plus?

yes a TP will lean it out but by how much i can't say.since i added the TP i haven't gotten a dyno.my AFR was a little under 12:1 in boost last time i got a dyno.I do feel the extra kick from the TP...guessing it gave me somewhere around 15whp.

check my sig for other mods.

12.1 is what the vortech FMU is set too stock isnt it? so a test pipe doesnt put your AFR's in danger?

10:1 is the rising rate, not the AF ratio. 10psi fuel pressure increase for each psi of boost applied. Actual AF ratio needs to verified with each car.
