Default Novi 1200 Blower for SOS kit

I was wondering if any of you guys with the SOS kit have upgraded the compressor to the novi 1200. I would like to know what your feelings are on it. I had talked to Chris and he said it would be an excellent upgrade to take my car farther.

My SOS kit came with the 1220SL. Isn't the oil fed superchargers that come with the SOS kit a 1200 already?

No the 1220 sl that our kits come with is different than the 1200. The 1200 can handle 22psi and around 600hp I already talked to Chris from SOS about the upgrade. I just wanted to know if anyone has done it yet. Im almost maxing out my 1220 and need more.

So the engine oil fed version is the 1200 right?

I can see it making sense that the oil fed version, the 1200, can handle higher impeller speeds, thus handling a higher PSI pulley.

To answer your initial question, nope haven't switched to the 1200 I would be interesting in hearing about a 22psi setup though.

The 1220 is the engine oil feed and the 1220 sl is the self lubricated version.

I wont be doing the upgraded blower until after winter but I cant wait to see what I can do with it. I'm running 18 psi on the 1220sl and it puts down good power. I will be taking my car to get re tuned in the next week or so on 103 oct. That should be interesting.

Yes i do. Im only running 408 wheel but my car isnt being reved out all the way. It is losing fuel pressure at high rpm. So the numbers are not as high as they should be. It will soon change when I go back and have it tuned again.
