Default Novi SL to Oil Fed

Has anyone switched from the Novi SL unit to the Oil Fed unit? I will be making the change within the next month or so. Any insight or recommendations before I start tearing things apart? Also, any parts for a 1500 needed? I am coming from a 1200. Thanks

If my 1220SL were to require a rebuild again, then I for sure will be swapping to a 1200 oil fed unit. Did you get a quote from Paxton on how much they would give you credit for your current blower?

bringing back an old thread. Can you convert for your SL to oil fed or you need a completely new blower?

When I called Paxton, they said that a new blower will be needed because it cannot be converted. They gave me a 1200 oil-fed quote for trading in my 1220SL.

My quote was close to $900. This was probably a year ago or so.

Has anyone actually had problems with the SL blower that hasn't been trying to push the boost? It seems like a lot of the threads I've read about people having problems all surround guys trying to run higher boost and are spinning the blower close to or beyond it's max safe rpm. Anyone just kept a stage I kit and had problems?
