Default How much oil to add?

Do the x's on the dipstick equate to some unit of measurement? My oil level is near the lowest x and I would like to add the correct amount of oil without any trial and error. Any advice is appreciated.

I belive someone had posted a general formula but I can't remember what it was (sorrry).

From my oil change experience with this car if you are at the bottom of the dipstick, you should need about two quarts.

That being said I ALWAYS add a little and check. Only way to be sure IMO.

From the bottom of the bottom X to the top of the top X should = 1 qt.

each X represents 200 mL, as billman said, from bottom x to top x, its exactly1 quart.
