Good stuff! I love to see these things done right, you will absolutely LOVE this upgrade. You will have a very reliable setup that will give you a lot of fun.

 

3.2" as I don't want to over spin the new blower.

 

how much did you spend for the 1200?

I just sent my 1220 in to be rebuilt as a 1200 and am spending $1250 just for the rebuild...... people say they have done it for $600 and ive called SOS, CT, Paxton many times and have never gotten a price like that!

 

Depending on the extent of the rebuild, quite possible.

From Paxton/Vortech when I inquired about upgrading from a 1220SL to the 1200

"We can upgrade your current unit, If we just did the upgrade (impeller and volute) it would be 392.95. If we were also doing a minor repair (bearings and seals) it would be 390.95 additional."

 

$2700 for the upgrade kit.

Some of the prices people quoted were no where near what the vendors told me

 

Good to know comrade. I knew that upgrade cost would be similar to that price and most likely more than 2k. I almost feel like selling my comptech kit and buying SOS is a better way of doing it

 

Yes I have to say it a steep price considering the price new of an SOS kit.

I'll sell my novi1000 as I've got near enough to all the parts needed for a non AC kit, so hopefully I'll get a $1000 for it.

 

Ya, im surprised it ended up costing you so much. I don't understand the spike in prices for the N1200... or maybe they just lowballed the upgrade value. It will be well worth it in the end, you spent the money and did it right. You have a very fun and reliable setup.

 

I got tired of messing around so just paid up.
