Gap the plugs down? He try that yet. A lot of the time that'll solve a spark blow out issue.

How many miles have you put on your AEM pencil coil CDI setup?

I'm frustrated with mine. The epoxy holding them together have come off on 2 of the coils and dropping cylinders.

I'd say about 4000 miles or so?? I haven't had any issues like that. For some reason though, I thought there were 2 versions of the coils. You might want to give AEM a call and see what they say.

Has anyone thought that perhaps the AP1 coils cost more and have a different non-superseded part number is because they need to support sparking at much higher RPM?

Sure maybe you can plug AP2 coils into an AP1 and get spark but that doesn't mean they're as good as or better does it??

If i had any spark issues i would throw in gfs coilpacks (06 tsx) but i don't

Anyone local (dfw) have the okadas and spark issues?
