[QUOTE=bigfishs,Apr 29 2005, 07:22 PM] As shown, the nipple end is going to the valve tank, as u had previously described. Form the right hand side, which comes down from the upper hard line it splits, One side of the tee goes

I was sure it was. But I didnt know what that check valve, which is connected to nothing was for, like u. I couldnt find it on any diagrams and was confused by it. I removed it and revved to vtech and the engine bogged out, lkit it was getting the fuel or air cut out, so I put it back in. My mechanic thought it might have been connected to a guage b4. But Like I say the car wont run properly without it. I thought it was to stop the system form becoming presurized by venting pressure under accel, ratherhan on idle, which should be vac. (according to my boost guage). U can suck through the open end of the valve with your mouth, but cant blow. However, under accel, I put my finger on the ned of it and it seemed to be sucking in air?????

Is that connector in the photo above normally connceted to the MAP? Why the fexk would I have A vac line connected to it?

You can't just remove that check valve and leave the end open. That whole system alternates between vacuum and pressure depending upon what the supercharger and the throttle is doing. Leaving it open is not a good thing. I suggest you get a hemostat and clamp that hose shut. Then try to drive it.

I have no idea why that line is there. It doesn't belong there. Again, clamp that line off and go for a drive.

If the car runs well and no CEL comes back with both of those lines clamped, this will tell you that they don't belong like that.

That was a pic from when I was demonstrating the MAP connector thing. The connector normally is plugged into the MAP. That vacumm line doesn't belong there. You need to find out why you have a vacuum line to the MAP when noone else does.

I figured the system operated between vac and press depending on the throttle posn. When I removed the vale, I didnt leave it open to air, I removed the tee and valve and replaced it with a staight connector, but when i hit 5K rpm it felt like rev limiter

not sure waht a hemostat is , but like i said, the valve seemed to not allow air in to the system under engine idle/vac, bur when revved, it seemed to allow the vent of pressure. Is this what a hemostat does?

Finally, when i turn the key to 2 I hear a loud whine for 5 sec and then all goes quiet. Billman 250 said I should be able to hear sc recirc pump operating in 2 key posn, until the engine is started but i cant. do I have one with my set up? Secondly, if the car is cold, and i start it, I can hear the ACV chattering for ~10m secs. Does this mean it is gettin vac and working?

Finally, my BOV is completely silent unver any rev situation which makes me think it doesnt work right.

Does the car have an ESM? Looks like someone made a shady attempt to cap the MAP voltage by other means....if you can find the ESM and measure it's resistance, it's going to require some flight recording to log the map readings and pinpoint the problem.

P0411 is not a code for "crossed vac lines", only a flow problem. Could be none, to much, or to little....
