Should I have my gas tank relatively full or empty as possible for a fuel pump install?

 

It doesn't really matter either way. The filter sock will be submerged either way so you'll just want to lift the assembly out and hold it over the tank to let it drain out as much as possible before pulling it out of the trunk. You'll still be dripping gas out of the assembly so just prepare for that.

thats awesome. i am like that too. i feel if someone gives you a gift, be thankful regardless. since the wifey and I just got our second house, we just bought some lawn equipment for each other. the kids is what xmas is for and they had a great time. ps cub cadet cordless lawn tools are bad ass for light/medium duty work. and i love my john deer lawn tractor rofl. enjoy driving it almost as much as the s2k.
