Default Oil change intervals with turbo applications?

New to the turbo s2000 world. Running redline 10w40.

Pretty much daily drive the car with the occasional spirited WOT.

How often should i be changing my oil now?

Seems like the condition of my oil drastically declines after about 3k miles so that’s when I change it. But every set up and condition is different, you should keep an eye on your oil and make the call. If you see it start to burn off after say 3k and more so at 4k, then you should probably change about 3k. With the miles I put on I average an oil change every 6-8 weeks. I run full Syn. I’d like to get more miles between changes but I just don’t think it’s smart or worth it. Some guys are anal and change every 1-2k miles but I think that’s a little excessive inmost cases and for the amount I drive I would be changing the oil every month.

With a good synthetic oil, you could easily go 5-10k+ miles but I don't know anyone that would actually do that.

I still stick with the 3500 mile rule of thumb.
