Well, the solution was much easier than I anticipated. As I remember there is plenty of room for the oil filter under the intake pipe. So the only reason I can find to relocate it is to alleviate excess heat from the filter. Well, if you do some research there are lots of car that have a filter near the exhaust side of the turbo and they use a simple heat shield to deflect the radiant heat transfer from the manifold to the filter. The cold side of the turbo is near the filter in this kit not the exhaust so why not put on a shield for good measure and sell the relocation kit to someone who wants one.

Well there is not enough room for the filter and the intake pipe. So back to the drawing board.

Okay, I have been trying to figure this out all night.

(1) With the Greddy Relocation Kit there is no place to put the filter except where it was originally installed. Big surprise

(2) I had started drawing up plans for an offset adapter that I could have machined, but this would cost a fortune and take some time to develop.

(3) Use Inline Pro's block adapter and filter adapter with a union in between them to offset the filter directly below the stock location.

The winner #3 I called Chris at Inline Pro and ordered a kit today, when it arrives I will see what it is going to take to modify the blocks and keep everyone posted. If I am lucky I will be able to find a set of unions that will join them. Worst case scenario I will machine a slot for an o-ring around each fitting and welds tabs on the sides to join them.

Maybe Inline Pro will like the idea and start making them for everyone. Anybody with their kit or Greddy's will be able to install this with no fear of leaks, it will clean up the engine bay and cost less than the relocation kit. Hopefully by next week I will have it finished.

Oh, and according to Inline Pro there have been three people this week that have called them about this problem, one already has an engine on order and if mine was damaged I will be the second.
