Default Oil leaks

Hi guys,

I have noticed oil leakage from my divertor valve (DV) the bosch one on my CTSC+AC. Its from just the DV itself - any ideas?

Also noticed some where the aftercooler connects to the blower, it seem to slowly leak. Is oil supposed to pass through here and is leakage normal for the DV valve itself and from blower to the AC?

Thanks

This is probably because you are experiencing oil blowby from the breather line on the front of the valve plugged into the intake tube. Pretty normal for AP1s.

Place a breather filter on it instead of plumbing back and your problem should go away. If not, perhaps your blower needs a rebuild because the seals are shot.

Before my blower, 1220SL, finally took a crap. I noticed a small pool of fluid in the inlet side of the A/C and some oil residue on the intake side of the blower. Not sure if this was from blow-by or bad seals, but I added a oil-air separator on the front breather line and intake.

My inclination is bad blower seals and not from the front breather by the amount you have suggested by your description. One way to find out is to do as Urban dk suggested with bypassing the line to the intake and put a breather filter on the valve cover if you haven't already. Make sure and remove the A/C and clean out the oil and see if it returns.

Thanks guys, iirc it's capped off. This is the nozzle from intake pipe to the sc, iirc it originally goes into front breather port on the rocker cover.

I do run a catch can to both breathers ports on the cam case.

Should I run a pipe to catch can from the nozzle?

If it's capped off and not returned to the intake, it probably is blower seals, I'm afraid. A rebuild will set you back a few hundred quid.

Isnt a small amount of blowby in a boosted Ap1 to be expected? I get a small amount here and there and my compression and leakdown numbers were great.

He doesn't have the breather hose connected, it's not blowby
