Default Got some oil Blowby....

I installed a comptech s/c a/c about 2 weeks ago, and noticed the relief valve on the intake elbow was just oil'd up, like bad. I guess the s/c sucked oil out from the front breather.

I'm sure i got a bunch of oil residue through the s/c and all in the a/c. What's safe to clean oil off. Perferably without removing the s/c and a/c. Something i can spray through it and have the engine burn it off ? Carb cleaner ?

Also, i've decided to buy a Catch can, soo i don't lubericate my the inner workings of the s/c and a/c. If i place a catch can inline between the PCV valve and the manifold vacuum connection, will that prevent oil going out the front breather and back into the intake pipe ? Or should i just put it inline between the front breather and intake ?

I do know Fperra had a can on both of them, then removed the front breather because it didn't collect anything. Which leads me to think the PCV can will fix my problem.

Also, did anyone gut the PCV valve ?

Thanks

I just used an engine cleaner like Gunk Engine Brite... now with citrus! It worked pretty well.

Best thing is trichloroethane, but I think it is banned now

Just ask your local solvent/chemical store for the new "Green" equivelant and remember to make sure that the IC is dry before reassembly.

Do not just GUT the PCV valve. It is there to block high pressure from entering the crankcase.

I have gut my pcv valve, but I also put a stock supra metal pcv valve inline. Since I have had less crankcase pressure. I think the stick S2000 plastic one was leaking under boost.
