Default pcv - excessive oil in intake

I know it is normal for pcv valve to deposit oil vapor which eventually collect in the intake and become gunks of oil. However, my pcv is ridding quite a bit of oil than what would be considered normal. I can put a paper towel next to it, drive around for 15 minutes and the towel would be covered with oil (not soaked).

Question is: What can cause this abnormal behavior from the pcv. Is some other line clogged?? A catch can would be a good idea but im afraid it might just mask the real problem. Thank you for your help.

Excessive blow-by is a possibility and will occur as an engine wears. I recomend just getting a catch-can and watching how fast if fills up.

So you are driving with the PCV valve removed from the valve cover?
